For example, you created an application (or Excel Workbook) with Virtual forms framework.
Let’s name it “My Excel workbook.xlsm”
and now you want to:
- rename your Excel workbook or
- move your Excel workbook to another folder or
- redistribute your Excel workbook to your user
You need to know these few things.
If you rename your workbook, you also need to rename the .vf file.
For example, you rename your Excel workbook from “My Excel workbook.xlsm” to “My workbook.xlsm”
you also need to rename the .vf file
from “My Excel workbook.vf” to “My workbook.vf”
When you move your workbook from one folder to another, you also need to move the .vf file to the same folder.
When you want to redistribute your Excel workbook to your user, you also need to redistribute the .vf file.
Also, you need to give the user the VFSetupxxx.exe and tell him to first run this setup to be able to use and run your Excel workbook. This setup will install the Virtual Forms framework on his computer.
