Change properties of Grid columns or Edit fields (for example decimal places)

You’ve created your Virtual Forms by following the Step by Step Guide, but want to change, for example, the decimal places or the caption text displayed.

Here I will show you how you can do this with just a few mouse clicks.

Open your Virtual Form.

For Example:

Let’s say that we want to change the decimal places for the field “Test Price” on Grid and also on Edit control.

Right mouse click on this column in the Grid control and click on “Open Grid control in VF Designer”.

This will open the Virtual Form Designer and it will position us on this Grid column properties.

Change the “Decimal places” to 2 and Save the changes.

You can close the Virtual Form Designer and reopen the Virtual Form.

The Grid control now displays this column with 2 decimals.

Let’s do this for the Edit control field “Test Price” also.

Right mouse click in Edit control on the label “Test Price” and click on “Open TextBox in VF Designer”.

This will open the Virtual Form Designer and it will position us on this Edit Field properties.

Now change the “Number of Decimals” to 2, save the changes, close the Virtual Form Designer and reopen the Virtual Form.
