How to create Data Source in Microsoft Report Builder. This is the question that we will answer in this video.

To use data from our Excel Workbook we need to tell the Report Builder (or our Paginated Report) where our data is stored.

Because we need to give the report the connection string that is not so easy to create I will show you you can use the Virtual Forms control to get the connection string to your Excel workbook without writing a single line of code.

And after the report will be used in our Excel project, the Virtual Forms control will take care of updating the connection string in the report. Every time before the report viewer control shows the paginated or pixel-perfect report to the user it will update the connection string with the actual connection string that it is using internally to connect Virtual Forms to Excel workbook.
